Ace Centre are a registered charity and have a head office based in Oldham, Greater Manchester.

They provide help and support for people with complex communications difficulties via Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) and Assistive Technology (AT).

VoIP Digital Receptionist

A digital receptionist (also known as an automated attendant) can increase employee productivity, enhance a company’s professional appearance and create cost savings. For this reason, ACE Centre approached Aspect IT and asked for these changes to be made to their VoIP system.

This has enabled the company to divide callers into groups based on their enquiries. When a phone call comes in, the caller is greeted and presented with a list of options. The caller can then choose the appropriate option using the numbers on their phone keypad. For example, 1 for new business, 2 for accounts or 3 for all other enquiries.

“As our business has grown we decided that a digital receptionist would help us manage our calls. Aspect IT advised us of the available options and implemented it really quickly. All we had to do was record the message and email it to them and a couple of hours later it was all working. Our calls are now automatically directed to the relevant person and we have an out of hours message and voicemail which emails us any messages left overnight. It has really helped with our call handling.”
