Our penultimate Good Deed is here!

This week, for our 19th Good Deed, we’re proud to share that we donated a variety of items to Rochdale Children’s Moorland Home.

Carry on reading as we share all the details!

Rochdale Children’s Moorland Home

Established in 1894 (over 100 years ago!), Rochdale Children’s Moorland Home operate every year from March to September, providing a much-needed, free of charge holiday home to disadvantaged children in the local area. The charity, as well as offering a sanctuary to children during school holiday periods, also provide services and facilities during term time for those referred to them by social care.

It’s wonderful work that gives young children access to support, development and most importantly – fun – when they need it most.

Donating Items

When we got in touch with Rochdale Children’s Moorland Home to see how we could help them for our next Good Deed, we were informed of their need for general everyday items, such as cereals and juice for the kids.

With our list at the ready we then headed out of the office once again to go ‘Good Deed shopping’ (we’re surprised that we’re not on first name terms with the local Tesco staff by now!) and deliver the goods to the children’s home.

It was a scenic drive as we made our way up to the secluded location in Wardle.

Although there was a few wrong turns and a bit of miscommunication with the sat nav, we got there in the end and were met with two lovely staff members – Heather and Dan.

While Heather packed away the items we had delivered, Dan gave us a tour around the home.

We were left feeling humbled and inspired by everything that goes on there – toys, arts and crafts, an amazing outdoor area with trampolines, swings, a zip wire and a den for throwing parties and other activities – it was wonderful to see all the hard work and effort that has gone in to providing a safe space and sanctuary for children who visit there.

Our Good Deeds give us so much insight into the amazing charities and individuals in our community and Rochdale Children’s Moorland Home were no exception to this. It was a pleasure to support them and learn more about what they do.

ONE Good Deed Remaining!

There’s just ONE more Good Deed to go – can you believe it?!

Our 20th Good Deed will be revealed VERY soon so don’t forget to follow us on social media to make sure you don’t miss it.

We’ll save the soppy stuff for Good Deed 20 but before we go, we just wanted to say thank you again for all the love and support you’ve shown our Good Deeds.
