Meet Our New Helpdesk Engineer, Jamie!

As our team expands, we wanted to introduce you to our new Helpdesk Engineer, Jamie! We interviewed him

Say hello to the newest member of our team, Jamie! 

Jamie joined us back in November and has fit in perfectly.

As part of the helpdesk team, his day-to-day responsibilities include taking calls and answering emails from our clients to ensure IT issues are solved in an efficient, timely manner.

Meet Helpdesk Engineer Jamie

How has your time with Aspect IT been so far?

My time with Aspect IT has been great so far! Everyone is really welcoming and I am enjoying the work I am doing.

Can you tell us a little more about your role as Helpdesk Engineer?

My role involves me assisting customers remotely with software issues or going onsite to replace / install new components. Those components range from Routers & Switches to hardware for Laptops, Desktops and Servers. 

What’s your favourite thing about your job?

My favourite thing about my job is getting to visit customers on site and resolve their hardware issues.

What do you enjoy doing outside of work?

Outside of work I enjoy playing games, flying my drone and playing cricket!

What advice would you give to someone considering a career in IT?

I would say don’t be afraid and don’t overthink things. If you do something wrong in IT, it’s generally easy to put things right again.

What are a couple of random facts about you?

I like Norse Mythology and I enjoy exploring abandoned places.
